County Convention Meeting Minutes

February 26, 2026

Opening:

The meeting was called to order by William Sickner at the Alcona EMS building on M72 at 7:00pm.

Pledge of Allegiance done, and Invocation given by Andy Jamieson.

County Convention

Motion to approve agenda, Judy and seconded by Jess. Motion passes.

Carrie moves to waive the reading of the call to convention, Jess seconds that. Motion passes.

Motion to appoint William as Chair of Convention and Jess as Secretary of Convention and Carrie as Parliamentarian. Motioned by Carrie, seconded by Judy. Motion passes. Oaths of convention offices taken.

Carrie Mullins moves to vote in the above as a slate for our delegates for the convention. Jess Dobbs seconds the motion. Motion passes.

Motion to cover the delegate/alternate registration fees for the State Convention by the party made by Jess. Judy seconds the motion. Discussion: logistics of this would be something to come out of the corporate account. Carrie can pay via WinRed link they provided. The other way to do it is to have us do it and then reimburse us. No other discussion. Motion passes.

Motion to adjourn county convention by Carrie Mullins, seconded by Judy French at 7:17pm.

Motion to adjourn, called by Jess, seconded by Carrie at 7:20pm. Next open meeting to be held on March 22, 2026, at 7pm at the Alcona County EMS building on M72. (2600 E. M-72, Harrisville, MI 48740.)
