County Convention Meeting Minutes

August 13, 2026

Opening:

The meeting was called to order by Jeffrey Dobbs at the Alcona EMS building on M72 at 7:00pm.

Motion to appoint Jeff Dobbs as Chair of Convention and Jess Dobbs as Secretary of Convention. Motioned by Carrie, seconded by Judy. No discussion. Motion passes. Oaths of convention offices taken.

Motion to appoint Carrie Mullins as Parliamentarian of Convention. Motioned by Jess and seconded by Judy. No discussion. Motion passes. Oath of convention office taken.

Carrie moves to waive the reading of the call to convention, Jess seconds that. No discussion. Motion passes.

Discussion on who can attend the convention and who cannot. Carrie, Jeff, Jess cannot go. William and Judy do not wish to attend.

Jess motions that Alcona County sends zero delegates to the State Convention. Carrie seconds. No discussion. Motion passes.

Motion to adjourn county convention by Carrie Mullins, seconded by Judy French at 7:17pm.

He wonders if the ACR has considered taking a position on the solar issue that has come before several townships within Alcona county, and suggests we think about doing so.
